The Best Way to Maximize Your Summer Holiday

With the kids almost out of school and summer just around the corner, it’s time to think about how to make the most of that vacation.

We’re here to relieve that stress with our ULTIMATE guide to New West…for KIDS!

1) PLAY at Westminster Pier Park

Let the kids tackle two playgrounds and a waterpark at the recently redone Westminster Pier Park. While they expend that extra energy, you can sit back and relax alongside the river. Don’t forget to cool down with a refreshing ice cream from the local concession.

2) EXPLORE the boats at the Quay

Children are free to play pretend and discover everything naval aboard the fixed pilothouse at the Quay, right next door to the world’s TALLEST tin soldier! These two landmarks are sure to keep the little ones entertained for a bit. Make sure to catch glimpses of the live tugboats cruising down the river.

3) MASTER skills like juggling or drums

KIDS 3

Spend a few hours indoors this summer picking up a new skill! Learn cool tricks like aerial silks, trampolines, juggling and much more at the Vancouver Circus School. If you’re looking for something more grounded, discover the Music Box Academy. Their small classes give your child the opportunity to explore all types of music (from singing to instruments) in a fun way.

4) CATCH a flick on the big screen

Cozy on up at Landmark Cinemas and watch one of the MANY upcoming blockbusters about to hit the big screens. Kids are sure to love T.M.N.T. 2 (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2), The Angry Birds Movie and Finding Dory. Remember to cash in on the cinema’s many promotions as well!

5) ATTEND the city’s events
