V Stands For Very Very Delicious

A Vibrant Meal For Incredible Value

Carnarvon Street has seen quite the development in recent times. Summer of 2016 saw the opening of Patsara Thai and Banh Mi Bar. Strong Side Conditioning also relocated to the area from Front St. The latest business to pop up: V Cafe.

We stopped by the family-run Vietnamese eatery recently and damn did we ever stuff ourselves.

First up on our menu, the house special banh mi. It was filled to the brim and had everything on it. Super flavourful!

We supplemented the sub with their daily soup special - dungeoness crab soup. Not only was it was amazing but a great combination with the banh mi.

We rounded out the meal with their passion fruit drink. Very refreshing, not too sweet and great compliment to the food.

Our favourite however was definitely the fresh salad rolls, particularly the egg & sausage. The spring rolls were good too, they told us to wrap up each little deep fried roll in lettuce and pickled carrot and onion, then dip into sirracha.  It was fantastic!

They plan to introduce other menu items soon like rice bowls and more soup options for a more complete 360 Vietnamese culinary experience.

Find them at 789 Carnarvon St., on the corner of Eighth St, or on Facebook + Instagram
