The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee!

PRESENTED BY FIGHTING CHANCE PRODUCTIONS Multi CTC and Ovation Award Winning Fighting Chance Productions is going on the road with their hit production of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee! Reviewer Colin Thomas says the show is a “freewheeling good time” and “a holiday in innocence”. This production won the Ovation Award for Outstanding Community Production (Small Theatre) as well as Outstanding Performance awards and nominations for most of the actors. The musical was also the recipient of the TONY and the Drama Desk Awards for Best Book. An eclectic group of six mid-pubescents vie for the spelling championship of a lifetime. While candidly disclosing hilarious and touching stories from their home life, the tweens spell their way through a series of potentially made-up words hoping to never hear the soul-crushing, pout-inducing, life un-affirming “ding” of the bell that signals a spelling mistake.
