Places for You and Your Fluffy Friend to Grab a Bite

Summer is on it’s way and we’re all starting to spend more time outside with our furry friends. Our dogs are part of the fam and we want to spend time with them...

So check out these great eateries where you and your pooch can grab a bite together, along with some great places to bring your takeout and enjoy Downtown New West. These restaurants are subject to change, please call in advance.

Kicking things off we have Steel & Oak Brewing Co, who’s outdoor patio has plenty of seating and is open rain or shine. If pubs are more your speed don’t worry, Kelly O’Bryan's has dog friendly seating for you and your pet on their patio as well! For fish and chips, Cockney King’s is the place to go with some available seating for your pup.

River Market has a bunch of outdoor seating for their various restaurants like Longtail Kitchen where you can bring your pet. And for those eateries that are indoors or don’t allow dogs you can always pop in to grab your food from Butcher’s Table, Ninja Bubble Tea or Re-Up BBQ and eat out on the boardwalk.

If patios aren’t your speed there’s plenty of other options for eating outdoors with your pets. If you’ve never been to Columbia Street Sandwich Company, we definitely recommend it! There is a lovely outdoor seating area on Columbia Street, right outside where you can sit down and enjoy your food. Another stop with great outdoor space nearby is Craft Cafe, where there’s a lovely public seating area for you and your furry friend.

Beyond that, there is plenty of seating at Pier Park and along the Quay for you to enjoy some takeout from one of our eateries with your dog! Don’t forget to post your Downtown adventures and tag us @downtownnewwest
