#RoyalCityGems: Zoom Hair Studio
Their Focus Is Making You Look Incredible
We take a closer look at one of Downtown New West's premiere hair salons and the results are stunning
Natalia Petcu is one busy lady. When she's not running her salon on Sixth, she's jetting off to New York Fashion Week or even vacationing in Japan. Yep, she's living her best life.

Luckily for me, I snagged a session with the sought-after stylist and owner of Zoom Hair Studio and picked her brain about life in the fast lane.
On her love for hair styling: It's never boring. Not only are styles constantly changing but so are her clients' preferences. Plus the opportunity to connect with people and make them feel beautiful? Who wouldn't love that!
On NYFW: She's always had a love for fashion, ever since childhood, watching fashion TV and seeing glamour of fashion week. Recently one of her brand partners became involved with NYFW and so she contacted them and made it happen herself.
She describes the experience as electric backstage, with a call time of 2.00am and preparing the looks of anywhere between 20 and 50 models!
Did we mention this was for designers like Marc Jacobs and Naeem Kahn?
On a hair trend she would not recommend: Perms - they're rarely what people want them to be.
On a hair trend she would recommend: Bobs - they can never go out of style. They're a classic shape and are flattering for most faces.
On being a finalist in the Canadian Salon Team category for the Contessa Awards: She attributes it to her amazing and creative team of stylists. She started her business four years ago and she still loves coming to work everyday because of how much fun they have together. The six stylists, three assistants and Zoro the dog make it all worthwhile.
Finally, on her favourite look she's ever created: The pink one. It's the shape + the colour+ the model + the photograph = simply stunning!
And that's a cut!
