Kung Jaadee (Roberta Kennedy) is a professional storyteller, educator and published author belonging to the X̱aayda (Haida), xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam) and Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish) First Nations. Her Haida name, Kung Jaadee, means ‘Moon Woman’ and was presented to her at her great uncle’s memorial feast by her cousin Crystal Robinson. Over the past 28 years, Kung Jaadee has performed traditional Haida legends, while also sharing vivid personal stories about her clan's survival of the smallpox epidemic, and the history and culture of her people. She has performed at hundreds of festivals, schools and Aboriginal celebrations across Canada.

Quayside Voices is a Canadian Vocal band based out of New Westminster BC. Our music is brought to life with drums, keyboards, and bass - but with a twist, all of those sounds are created using our voices! Established in 2014, Quayside's put together hundreds of songs and continues to elevate each performance with high energy and impactful movement. Stephanie Lam, Troy Martell, Aerhyn Lau, Daniel Young, and Elyse Kantonen make up the quintet along with Emil Wu as their Sound Engineer. Quayside’s also collaborated with vocal bands across the country including Victoria’s Fifth Street, Edmonton’s 6 Minute Warning, and Toronto’s Countermeasure. This is what you’ll hear if you ask Miss Shauna what her and her music are all about. The sassy, bi-sexual, singer is all about expressing love, being her authentic self and listening to her inner voice, but it hasn’t always been that way.

Artist Bio:
Named for the 1979 thriller, China Syndrome is a melodic power pop quartet hailing from Vancouver. The band is comprised of Tim Chan on vocals and guitar, Mike Chang on bass, Kevin Dubois on drums, and Greg Kelly on keys, with all contributing to the infectious backing vocals. Having recorded four records under the guidance of David Carswell (The New Pornographers, Destroyer, Tegan & Sara, the Evaporators), their sound is a combination of the driving pop hooks of Teenage Fanclub and XTC with liberal dollops of 60s and 70s classic rock influence. You don’t know it yet, but China Syndrome is your new favourite band.
