Tissa Rahim and Alvin Brendan at Music By The River

Music by the River is back! Presented by the Downtown New West BIA and the City of New Westminster with support from the Arts Council of New Westminster and Tourism New Westminster. This weeks performer is Tissa Rahim, accompanied by Alvin Brendan. Tissa Rahim is an RnB songstress with a Middle Eastern flare. Tissa combines modern soul with her multi-generational background in Iranian music and deeply personal lyrics. With a 40-city North American tour under her belt, Tissa’s upcoming releases are certain to capture the attention of the Pacific Northwest and beyond. So come by to the festival lawn this Thursday from 6pm-8:30pm. That area of Pier Park is licensed, so grab some take-out and cool beverages and come enjoy the tunes!
