The Margit Sky Project is an incredibly diverse group of musicians that play as a duo or up to a six piece band. The core duo consists of Margit Gossage and Rod (Little Sky) Bandura, partners on stage and in life. When you hear them play, the close connection between the two will leave you wanting to hear more. The songs are delivered with a strong power of emotion whether they are the band’s original songs or cover tunes. When you add a few more bandmates to the duo you get the full Margit Sky Project! The Margit Sky Project can easily play a 4-hour show and not play the same song twice. No set list is used. No tracks are used. What you see is what you get. The flow of the evening always complements the energy of the audience. All styles of music are played; Rock, Folk, Oldies, Celtic and some Country along with a few really cool Instrumentals. Her parents were huge music lovers. After moving to Kamloops in 1992, Margit was inspired by a good friedn to pick up the guitar and develop her skills. She built a successful career as a local musician and hasn’t looked back since her first gig at Sun Peaks Resort. ROD BANDURA - Born in Vancouver, Rod started playing guitar at age 10. By age 16, he was playing in bands and hasn’t stopped. In the mid 1990s, Rod was a key member of the indigenous band, Waskesu. They had the pleasure of playing for the Prime Minister and at the Commonwealth Games in Victoria along with Susan Aglukark and Kashtin.
